Wool and Stair Carpet Installations
Wool carpets continue to offer timeless appeal, combining natural comfort with classic style across a variety of interior settings. From traditional cottages to modern homes, recent installations demonstrate the versatility of wool in both texture and tone, tailored through expert fitting and thoughtful finishing touches. Here are just a few of our recent projects that have utilised these wool carpets:
Thatched Cottage – Hereford Hobnail Wool Carpet
Installed: Hereford Hobnail Wool Carpet by Likewise, in the colour Madley, to the hall, stairs and landing of a listed thatched cottage. Each step was individually templated and fitted due to the complexity of the staircase, resulting in a seamless finish that complements the character of the home.

Bedroom – Balta Luxury Weave
Installed: Luxury Weave by Balta, in the colour Old White, in a bedroom. This white-toned wool carpet brings a soft, neutral feel to the space and is currently featured as one of our Manager’s Specials in-store, with 30% off selected Balta wool ranges.

Stairs & Landing – Elements Africa Stripe
Installed: Africa Stripe Carpet by Elements, in the colour Antelope, on the stairs and landing. The stair runner was professionally whipped by ACE Carpet Edging in a complementary light beige tone and finished with Premier Stair Rods in Antique Brass with acorn finials, adding a polished and traditional touch.

Stair Runner – Kings Hill
Customer: Kings Hill
Installed: Prestige Design by Balta, in the colour Champagne, as a stair runner. Finished with bold black whipping by ACE Carpet Edging, this combination delivers a sleek and modern contrast that elevates the overall look of the staircase.

Conclusion
These installations highlight the enduring appeal of wool carpets, offering natural warmth, rich texture, and long-lasting quality. Whether enhancing the charm of a heritage property or adding understated elegance to contemporary spaces, wool remains a trusted choice for design-led, comfortable flooring.
